100 Years Strong—and Just Getting Started

Thank you to our Women of Tocqueville members who helped make the culmination of our Centennial year unforgettable! Throughout our 100th year, we’ve worked together to change more than 1.7 million lives—celebrating a century of progress while preparing to launch into a bold and impactful future.

And on Saturday, November 15, the excitement reached its peak at the Centennial Celebration presented by PepsiCo—one of the biggest community parties Dallas has ever seen. We united more than 30,000 guests to honor our past, celebrate this powerful moment and kick off the next 100 years—together. The day included three unique experiences:

  • Taste United Food and Wine Festival powered by Vistra, featuring more than 60 beloved North Texas chefs and curated sips and pairings
  • Patron Dinner presented by Kimberly-Clark (5 PM), offering special entertainment and dinner
  • The finale Concert presented by PepsiCo at historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, featuring once-in-a-lifetime performances by global icon, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and philanthropist Janet Jackson and country superstar Blake Shelton

Thank you again to everyone who joined us on this incredible day AND to each and every Women of Tocqueville member who donated, advocated or volunteered in support of our shared mission this year.

Let’s keep a good thing going for our next 100 years!

As we launch into our second century of community impact, we’re harnessing the excitement and momentum of our Centennial year to change even more lives. Thank you for being a Tocqueville Society member and helping us kick off the next 100 years of service to North Texas. Together, we can help North Texans be greater than the barriers they face and shape a North Texas that is greater than ever before.

An Evening of Fun, Fellowship and Impact

On October 21, Tocqueville Society members and friends gathered at the Arts District Mansion for an exciting annual tradition: the Texas Hold ‘Em tournament for finance, accounting and corporate leaders, which was sponsored by FTI Consulting, Grant Thornton, Charles Schwab, EY, Comerica Bank, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC. This year’s event was a fun-filled opportunity to encourage membership in the United Way Tocqueville Society led by CFO Co-Chairs: Christy Jacoby (PepsiCo Foods North America), Jim Herzog (Comerica Bank) and Rafael Lizardi (TI).

The evening included plenty of friendly competition, networking, food and drinks—all in the name of giving back to the community. We are so grateful to our Tocqueville Society members, who have gone “all in” for United Way’s mission throughout our Centennial Anniversary year, dedicating time and resources to enable us to change more than 1.7 million lives in the last year alone.

A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Members

At the Tocqueville Society’s Bench & Bar New Member Dinner, we welcomed new Tocqueville members from the legal community. It was an incredible opportunity to connect over dinner, enjoy engaging conversations and get to know each member’s personal passions. Chef Clint Absher outdid himself (again!). A huge thank-you to David McAtee for graciously hosting the dinner at AT&T Headquarters; to Sandra Phillips for helping make the evening so special; to Erin Nealy Cox and Trey Cox, our Tocqueville Co-Chairs, for their inspiring leadership; and to our General Counsel Host Committee. We're also thrilled to announce our new General Counsel co-chairs: Katie Kane (TI), Scott Ewing (Trinity Industries) and Michele Lau (McKesson). With leaders like this, the future is bright.

A Legacy of Service

We were honored to have Barbara Pierce Bush join our Centennial Celebration presented by PepsiCo as honorary chair. For generations, the Bush family has embodied the belief that lasting change starts with people—neighbors helping neighbors, communities coming together to care for one another. That spirit of service has long connected them to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ mission as her parents, President and Mrs. Bush are Ruth Sharp Altshuler Tocqueville Society members, and Barbara continues that legacy in her own way, bringing compassion, collaboration and purpose to every space she leads. Click below to learn more about Barbara and her dedication to creating meaningful impact in North Texas.
