North Texas’ most exciting social innovation event is back! Join us Thursday, May 2 for The Pitch powered by PNC and Amazon, as change-seekers like you come together to advance our shared vision of a stronger, more equitable North Texas.
Be part of a one-of-a-kind competition that will have you on the edge of your seat. Best of all, as you enjoy networking with the Live United movement, fun food and cocktails, and voting for your favorite finalist, you’ll also be making a meaningful impact on our community.
On this unforgettable night, five dynamic finalists from our Social Innovation Accelerator, in collaboration with Accenture, will compete on stage for more than $250,000 in funding. These inspiring pitches are the culmination of a year-long program designed to drive measurable progress toward our mission to improve access to education, income and health–and we can't wait for you to hear from our finalists.
Don’t wait: Early-bird tickets are available for just $35 through April 8.
THANKS FOR SUPPORTING READING DAY
This year’s United Way Reading Day was fueled by books and big smiles. The page-turning event brought nearly 1,200 change-seekers, like our very own Ashley Sink (on the right in the photo), to 42 campuses across seven North Texas school districts. Volunteering on the big day, Ashley says, was a natural fit.

She’s a lifelong lover of reading and credits books for getting her to where she is today.
“Books opened a whole world for me as a child — and continue to today,” she said after inspiring Jackson Elementary kindergartners with a love of reading. “Reading to my own children strengthens the bond we have and demonstrates that I care about them — sharing that experience with other children is a small way I can give back to the broader community.”
