What inspired you to become a Woman Of Tocqueville?
My journey with WOT began during my time in Chicago, where I started my career at PwC and completed a board training program through United Way. That experience—paired with Project Blueprint—sparked a lasting passion for community engagement. After relocating to Dallas, I was eager to stay connected and continue giving back. I joined the March Fellows program and am now honored to be part of WOT, committed to making a meaningful impact in the Dallas community through impactful work.
What is one book, quote, or piece of wisdom that has shaped your perspective on leadership and service?
“We have to teach our girls to be comfortable with imperfection—and to embrace risk and failure.” - Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, comes from her book Brave, Not Perfect
This quote reshapes leadership by emphasizing courage over perfection—a critical mindset shift for both leaders and those in service roles. It highlights that true leadership is not about having all the answers or being flawless, but about taking bold steps, making room for growth, and empowering others to do the same, including ourselves.
Summer Fun with a Purpose
Thanks to our dedicated supporters, we started the summer off right for our neighbors across North Texas at the Summer Meals Kickoff on June 12. This high-energy family event brought together more than 1,200 children, families, volunteers and community partners to celebrate the start of our free Summer Meals program—and to take a stand against childhood hunger in North Texas.
We’re Driving Meaningful Change Through the Power of Data
On June 11, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas hosted a powerful Funders Presentation at Pegasus Park, celebrating the success of our inaugural Data Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI) cohort. The event featured a dynamic panel discussion with representatives from the first program participants. These leaders shared how DCBI has helped them harness the power of data to improve services, expand reach and deepen our collective impact across North Texas.
Women of Tocqueville members had a ball running with purpose and celebrating impact alongside other United Way supporters at the 2025 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Dallas-Fort Worth. United Way was honored to be the beneficiary of this year’s event. Every step we took together—from start to finish—helped drive meaningful investments to improve access to education, income and health in North Texas. Thank you to all this year’s participants for making the challenge a success.
