At United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, we recognize that education is one of the building blocks of opportunity. But far too often, our local students and teachers lack the resources they need to succeed.
When students lack basic supplies, such as paper, pencils and backpacks, their motivation and engagement with school can seriously suffer. Educators are well aware of this issue, which is why most teachers spend some of their own money every year to ensure students will have what they need to succeed.
But teachers can only do so much. That’s why it’s important for the entire community to step up and support our local students and educators.
We’re leading a movement to ensure every student has the access and opportunity to succeed in school–because success in school sets the stage for the rest of a child’s life.
Learn about the impact of our education initiatives and how you can volunteer to support opportunities that directly benefit students and teachers so that every child and educator walks into the classroom feeling confident, empowered and prepared for an incredible year.
